Broaden your horizons

Whether you want to simply relax and kick off your shoes to dip your toes in the sand or the surf, breathe in some invigorating sea air or spend your time exploring the wonderful North Norfolk countryside, then Cromer is the perfect base for your holiday or weekend break.

This unspoiled corner of East Anglia boasts big open skies, golden sandy beaches, flint cottages and stunning scenery.

So much more to see

There is a wealth of historical places of interest to visit – from The Queen’s much-loved country home at Sandringham to National Trust properties such as Felbrigg Hall and Blickling Hall. Nearby is the historic Holkham Hall and its fabulous long sandy beach, the seaside towns of Wells-next-the-Sea and Blakeney where you can catch a boat to go and see the seals, Sheringham where you can catch an old-fashioned steam train, The Broads where you can hop aboard a boat, or superb shopping in the historic city of Norwich or at nearby Wroxham Barns. Norwich, the capital city of Norfolk, also has many interesting museums, theatres, galleries and restaurants, including a fine medieval cathedral and Norman castle.

Whatever your tastes, Cromer and Norfolk have something for everyone.

Favourite eateries

Even though our apartment is self-catering, we feel sure you’ll want to sample the local cuisine.

If you enjoy good food, then you’ll just love eating out in North Norfolk. There’s such a variety of different foods on offer for all tastes.

If Greek is your thing, you’ll be hard pressed to beat Constantia Cottage Restaurant in East Runton, just five minutes away by car. Closer to home, there’s The Rocket House Café on the Promenade, where you can gaze out of the vast windows at the fishing boats and eat Cromer Crab salad when in season.

You’ll find good home cooking at The Cottage Restaurant on Church Street, Cromer, which serves an excellent selection of English dishes, and if you want to enjoy good old fish and chips after a stroll on the prom, then Maryjanes Fish Bar, in Garden Street, Cromer, is a must!
